The 3rd<\/sup> annual red carpet star unveiling ceremonies will take place in\u00a0Toronto\u2019s \u201cLittle Italy\u201d in front of the\u00a0CHIN\u00a0Building <\/span><\/strong>(622 College St.)\u00a0at\u00a02:00 pm<\/span><\/strong> on\u00a0Sept 5, 2011. <\/span><\/strong>An awards gala, co-chaired by board directors\u00a0Dominic Campione<\/span><\/strong> and Sam Ciccolini<\/span><\/strong>, will follow later that day at the\u00a0Riviera Parque Banquet & Convention Centre <\/span><\/strong>in\u00a0Vaughan\u00a0(2800 Hwy 7\u00a0West)\u00a0at\u00a06:00 pm.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Located in the heart of\u00a0Toronto\u2019s famous downtown tourist destination known as \u201cLittle Italy,\u201d the Italian Walk of Fame (IWOF) pays tribute to the extraordinary achievements of Italians both locally and globally in all fields with stars placed permanently and prominently in the sidewalk of\u00a0College Street. \u201cThis event includes a full day of festivities where celebrities, dignitaries and the community alike celebrate their Italian heritage\u201d, explained Co-Founder Jimi Bertucci. The tradition of placing stars bearing the names of these individuals as a lasting reminder of their contributions and accomplishments on the sidewalk in Little Italy began in 2009. \u201cThe unprecedented support from the community for the first chapter of this ongoing celebration has been overwhelming\u201d, said Co-Founder Marisa Beaco-Lang.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
